In a groundbreaking initiative, Schiller India has taken a remarkable step towards enhancing public safety. We have successfully installed the first Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), SCHILLER’s FRED® PA-1 in Mumbai’s suburban railways. This life-saving device promises to be a crucial asset in the event of sudden cardiac emergencies, offering immediate assistance until professional medical help arrives.
This milestone achievement was made possible through an initiative organized by Cardiologists Dr. M. V. Reddy and Dr. Akshay Mehta, who is also the President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Airport. Further, the AED was donated by Ms. Mira Parekh.
Dr. Akshay Mehta led this informative session and gave CPR training, which was attended by a diverse group of individuals, including Railway Protection Force (RPF) officers, Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs), and headmasters of the railway station. Members of the Rotary Club, committed to the cause of community welfare, were also present to witness this momentous occasion.
