Pilgrimage To Lourdes With SCHILLER Equipment

1000 pilgrims made the journey to the pilgrimage site of Lourdes in France this year with two devices from SCHILLER.

This pilgrimage from Switzerland took place for the 127th time. The SCHILLER ECG CARDIOVIT FT-1 was used, but the defibrillator FRED Easyport was fortunately not.

Interdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage DRS

Lourdes attracts millions of pilgrims every year who hope to find healing or new life force at the place of pilgrimage. Sick people and people with disabilities or insecurity are at the heart of the pilgrimage.

The pilgrimage is managed by the “Association of the Interdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage DRS” under the patronage of the bishops of Basel, Chur and St. Gallen.

In 1884, when Father Büchtiger made the first pilgrimage to Lourdes with 12 pilgrims, he was able to manage the work alone. The more pilgrims came forward, the more helpers were needed.

At the beginning a committee was formed, then a committee, and finally in 1946 an association, consisting of priests, religious and lay people from the three German-speaking dioceses.

We at SCHILLER are already looking forward to ensuring the safety of the pilgrims with our equipment again next year.
